Maintenance
A dental rehabilitation needs maintenance in order to ensure its durability.
- Hygiene (see Preparation chapter)
A good hygiene is fundamental, as well as regular prophylaxis appointments.

As maxillaries and articulations evolve with time (and so on teeth), it is important to maintain a good occlusal balance.
Occlusal splints may be advised as protections for possible bone fractures caused by an occlusal unbalance, as well as an adjustment of lower and upper teeth contacts should be done by us.
- A bridge (on implants only) dismantling and re-screwing
should often be done (every 2 or 3 years) to check up and clean inaccessible areas on which it is fixed. |

An X-ray check-up
should be performed once a year on the yearly dental visit. They allow us to make sure of the patient's good bone health as well as to prevent any tooth or gingival illness.
